The Notorious Instability: Beta 5’s Known Issues

Let’s be honest. You don’t download Robozou 2 Version 56 English Beta 5 for a smooth experience. You download it for the experience. And that experience includes crashes.

Based on community feedback from the Eidolon Workshop Discord and the Robozou Subreddit, here are the critical bugs in Beta 5:

  • The Sodium Lamp Crash: Entering the "Hibernation Nursery" while the in-game clock (based on your real-world system time) reads between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM causes a hard crash to desktop. Workaround: Change your PC's time zone.
  • Save Slot #3 Corruption: Never use save slot #3. It causes the "Glass Maiden" model to become invisible. You can still click her, but you won't see her. Beta 5 attempted to fix this but only reduced the chance from 100% to 65%.
  • Audio Loop Glitch (Ending B): During Ending B (the "Factory Reset" ending), the background track "Mono No Aware 7" continues to play after the credits roll, overlapping with the shutdown sequence. To exit, you must force-quit the game via Task Manager.
  • Memory Leak in Chapter 8: The longer you play Version 56 continuously, the more RAM it consumes. Beta 5 introduces a warning prompt at the 2.5-hour mark: "Your empathy buffer is full. Please save and restart." Ignore it, and the game will turn all textures into static after 3 hours.

The Reality:

As the beta testers began to explore the capabilities of RoboZou 2, Version 56, English Beta 5, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Users praised its intuitive design and the way it seemed to learn and adapt to their preferences over time.

However, like any beta version, there were a few hiccups along the way. Some users reported minor glitches and areas where the AI could be improved. But the development team was quick to address these issues, releasing patches and updates to enhance the overall user experience.
