Initial setup
- Place on stable surface; attach rubber feet.
- Inspect unit and probes for damage.
- Connect AC power; set mains selector if present.
- Press Power button; allow boot (30–60 s).
- If network control needed, connect Ethernet or USB to PC and install drivers from manufacturer site (assumed).
8.2 Two-Point Calibration (for 4-20 mA input)
- Apply a 4.000 mA signal (must be accurate to ±0.01 mA).
- At
CAL L(low), press ENT. - Apply a 20.000 mA signal.
- At
CAL H(high), press ENT. - Press A/M to save and exit.
For thermocouples, use a precision millivolt source at 0°C and 50°C reference. Initial setup

5.3 Data Logging
- Insert FAT32-formatted microSD card.
- Go to
Menu > Logging > Start. - Files saved as
LOG_YYYYMMDD.csv. Stop logging before removing card.
Chapter 6: Data Logging and USB Export
The XMTK-9000 includes 4 MB of internal flash memory – enough for approximately 500,000 logged readings. Safety note: For current >
Rear panel — common I/O (assumed)
- AC mains inlet and fuse
- LAN/Ethernet port
- USB-B or USB-C for PC control
- Banana jacks for DC power output (PSU)
- Ground terminal
- Ventilation
Digital Multimeter (DMM) mode — basic measurements
- Press DMM.
- Insert red lead to V/Ω/Hz jack and black to COM.
- Select measurement type: VDC, VAC, resistance, continuity, diode.
- For voltage, start on highest range if uncertain; enable Auto-range if available.
- For current, use appropriate current jack and fuse-protected input; never exceed rated current.
Safety note: For current > device rating, use external clamp meter.
