Initial setup

  1. Place on stable surface; attach rubber feet.
  2. Inspect unit and probes for damage.
  3. Connect AC power; set mains selector if present.
  4. Press Power button; allow boot (30–60 s).
  5. If network control needed, connect Ethernet or USB to PC and install drivers from manufacturer site (assumed).

8.2 Two-Point Calibration (for 4-20 mA input)

  1. Apply a 4.000 mA signal (must be accurate to ±0.01 mA).
  2. At CAL L (low), press ENT.
  3. Apply a 20.000 mA signal.
  4. At CAL H (high), press ENT.
  5. Press A/M to save and exit.

For thermocouples, use a precision millivolt source at 0°C and 50°C reference. Initial setup

5.3 Data Logging

Chapter 6: Data Logging and USB Export

The XMTK-9000 includes 4 MB of internal flash memory – enough for approximately 500,000 logged readings. Safety note: For current &gt

Rear panel — common I/O (assumed)

Digital Multimeter (DMM) mode — basic measurements

  1. Press DMM.
  2. Insert red lead to V/Ω/Hz jack and black to COM.
  3. Select measurement type: VDC, VAC, resistance, continuity, diode.
  4. For voltage, start on highest range if uncertain; enable Auto-range if available.
  5. For current, use appropriate current jack and fuse-protected input; never exceed rated current.

Safety note: For current > device rating, use external clamp meter.
