Winpossee is a budget brand, and their official support can be slow. However, they do respond to email. If all reset methods fail:

  • Subject: DVR Model [e.g., WP-4CH-DVR] – Password Reset Request
  • Attach: A photo of the sticker on the bottom/top of your DVR (showing model number and serial number).

They may provide a custom unlock code or firmware file specific to your unit.

Alternatively, search YouTube for “Winpossee DVR reset model number” – many resellers post video tutorials.

Typical default credentials

  • Username: admin
  • Password: admin
  • Password: 123456
  • Password: 888888 Note: Exact defaults vary by model and firmware. If one of the above doesn't work, the device may have a different factory password or the password was changed.

If this works, immediately create a new admin account and delete the backdoor user.

No Password (Blank)

On rare occasions, especially with factory-fresh units that were never initialized:
