However, integrating DriverPack directly into the installation ISO was tricky. Alex opted for an alternative approach: creating a separate bootable USB with DriverPack Solution. This way, after installing Windows XP, Alex could easily boot into DriverPack and update all drivers in one go.

Method 1: Clean Install on Legacy Hardware (2015 or older)

1. BIOS Settings:
   • Enter BIOS (F2/DEL).
   • Disable Secure Boot.
   • Enable CSM / Legacy Boot.
   • Set SATA Mode to AHCI (do not use IDE/Compatibility).
2. Create Bootable Media:
   • Open Rufus. Select the ISO. For Partition scheme, choose MBR.
   • File system: NTFS (FAT32 also works for smaller ISOs).
3. Boot & Install:
   • Boot from USB. You will see the classic blue setup screen.
   • Because of the integrated SATA drivers, your hard drive will appear immediately. No "F6 to load third-party driver" is needed.
4. DriverPack Automation:
   • After the text-mode setup, Windows will reboot.
   • During the GUI phase (15 minutes left), a DriverPack window may appear silently. Let it run. It will detect your hardware and install audio, LAN, and chipset drivers automatically.
