Guide: Walkman Chanakya 902 Hindi Font 2
Pro Tip: Converting Modern Text to Font 2
You cannot type modern Unicode Hindi (like Google Input Tools) directly on the W902. You must convert it:
- Type your text in Krutidev font on your PC.
- Use "Chanakya Converter Tool" (v1.2) to convert Krutidev to the phone's proprietary
.vntformat. - Transfer the file to the phone. The device will read it as "Font 2" compliant.
For Windows Users:
- Extract the file: If the font came inside a
.zipfolder, right-click it and select "Extract All." - Locate the file: Find the file named
Walkman Chanakya 902.ttf. - Right-click: Select Install from the context menu.
- Alternatively, you can copy the file and paste it into your Windows Fonts folder (Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Fonts).
- Restart your software: If you have MS Word or Photoshop open, close and reopen it to see the new font in the list.
Method 1: The "Font Selector" Method (Easiest)
Some versions of the Chanakya 902 have a hidden menu: walkman chanakya 902 hindi font 2

Problem 1: "I loaded Hindi Font 2, but SMS is still garbled."
Solution: SMS encoding is different. Go to Messages > Settings > SMS Encoding. Change it from Automatic or GSM Alphabet to UCS-2 (Unicode) . This forces the phone to use the Hindi Font 2 pack for messages. Guide: Walkman Chanakya 902 Hindi Font 2 Pro
