How to Set Up Vasco One (For Users)
If your bank or employer has enrolled you in the Vasco One system, setting it up takes less than two minutes.
- Download the App: Search for "Vasco One" on the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Beware of fake apps; look for the publisher "OneSpan."
- Activation: You will typically receive an activation email or SMS containing a link or a QR code.
- Scan: Open Vasco One and scan the QR code on your computer screen.
- Register Biometrics: The app will ask permission to use your phone's fingerprint or face scanner. Grant it.
- Name your Device: For security, name your device (e.g., "Sarah's iPhone 15 Pro"). This allows you to track registered devices later.
- First Login: Go to your corporate portal, enter your username/password. A push notification will arrive on Vasco One. Look at the details—if the login location and time look correct, tap "Approve."
2. Transaction Data Signing (What You See Is What You Sign)
Standard 2FA only verifies "who you are." Vasco One verifies "what you are doing." For high-value wire transfers, the app receives the transaction details (e.g., "Pay $5,000 to John Doe"). The user sees this on their phone screen and approves it. This prevents "man-in-the-browser" attacks where malware changes the recipient's account number after the user types it. vasco one
