The Philosophy: Cheating as a Sandbox

Before we type a single command, it is vital to understand New Blood’s philosophy regarding cheats. Unlike AAA studios that treat cheating as a cardinal sin, New Blood embraces it. In Ultrakill, cheats are not a sign of weakness; they are a feature. Hakita has famously stated that Ultrakill is a "single-player game," and players should enjoy it however they want.

Consequently, the cheat menu is robust, easy to use, and—most importantly—does not disable achievements or save file progression. You can turn on invincibility, noclip through a wall, and still get the P-rank on a level. The only thing cheats block is leaderboard submissions. Finding the Full List of Cheats

Ethical Cheating: Why you shouldn't feel bad

A common debate in the Ultrakill subreddit is: "Am I ruining the game by using the cheat menu?"

The answer is no. Here is why:

  1. P-ranks are not locked: If you are stuck trying to get a "P" (Pure) rank on a level, turning on cheats won't void the attempt. You can use noclip to find the secret encounter you missed, then turn it off to fight legitimately.
  2. Practice tools: Pro players use spawn and god to practice parrying the Corpse of King Minos's fist. The cheat menu is a training room.
  3. Sandbox fun: Sometimes you just want to spawn 50 Filth (the basic zombie enemies) and fire a malicious railcannon into the pile. That is fun. That is the point of video games.

However, a word of caution: Do not use cheats on the Cyber Grind leaderboard. The game uploads your run data. Using god or noclip there will get you soft-banned from the leaderboard (though not the game itself).

UltraKill Specifics

UltraKill, being a game focused on competitive play and high-octane action, might have a cheat menu that caters to both casual players looking for a more relaxed experience and competitive players testing strategies. However, it's crucial to note that using cheats in online multiplayer modes can lead to penalties, including bans from the game.
