Endnight Games has rolled out a fresh update for Sons of the Forest, labeled v48738 (commonly referred to by the community as the “RUNE” update due to the scene group that released the clean files). This patch focuses on performance optimizations, bug fixes, and new survival mechanics.

Performance (The "Stutter Killer")
- DLSS 3.5 & FSR 3.0 Support: Integrated for supported GPUs. This drastically improves frame rates in the dense forests and the new snow particle effects.
- Memory Leak Patch: Fixed the memory leak that occurred after 3+ hours of gameplay, which previously forced a restart to maintain FPS.
