• Cause: The emulator’s save type is set to EEPROM 4Kbit. Platinum requires EEPROM 512Kbit or FLASH 1MB.
• Fix: In DeSmuME, go to Config > Emulation Settings > Slot-2 Device > NONE. Then set Save Type to "Auto" or manually force 512Kbit.
