Một trong những chi tiết quan trọng nhất của Playful Kiss Tap 1 Vietsub là sự cố nhà của Ha Ni bị sập do một trận động đất nhỏ (thực chất là do bố cô xây nhà quá yếu). Mẹ của Ha Ni qua đời từ sớm, bố cô là một người vui tính và rất quý Seung Jo.

Tình cờ thay, bố của Seung Jo lại là bạn thân của bố Ha Ni từ thời đại học. Khi biết gia đình Ha Ni không có chỗ ở, ông Baek đã nhiệt tình mời hai bố con họ đến ở trọ tại biệt thự nhà mình.
