Destination Folder

• Default: C:\Program Files\NETSCADA\
• Custom: If you have limited space on C:, choose another drive. Note: Some drivers expect the default path; change with caution.

Build a Simple Mimic

• Drag a Tank symbol from the Toolbox to the canvas.
• Right-click tank → "Animate Fill Level" → Link to a Modbus holding register (e.g., 40001).

6.2 Validate Tag Limit

• In the NetSCADA IDE, go to Project → Properties → License Info. Verify "Available Tags: 50/50".

Step 7: Upgrading from NETSCADA 50 to Higher Tiers

1. Purchase a 500-tag or Unlimited license from your distributor.
2. Download the new license file.
3. Open License Manager → Import file → No reinstallation needed.
4. Your existing project will instantly support more tags.

Step 4.2: Test the Installation

1. Open NETSCADA Designer.
2. Create a new project → Name it "Test_Project_50".
3. Drag a simple numeric display widget onto the canvas.
4. Click "Save" → then "Run" (or press F5).
5. The Runtime window should open without errors.

If you see red errors at the bottom of the Designer, check: Destination Folder

• OPC/Driver issues: Not relevant for an empty project.
• Database connection: Ensure SQL Browser service is running.

5. Post-Installation: Activation

NetSCADA 50 must be activated to run for more than 1 hour continuously.

1. Launch Elipse License Manager from the Start Menu.
2. Click Activate Product.
3. Select NetSCADA 50.
4. Enter the license key received via email.
5. Click Activate Online (requires internet connection).

If online activation fails, use Offline Activation:

• Generate a request file (.req)
• Upload it to Elipse’s offline portal
• Download the response file (.lic) and import it.

After activation, the runtime will run indefinitely with the 50-tag limit.
