How It Works
Dissolved oxygen in boiler feedwater is one of the primary causes of corrosion in steam systems. When oxygen reacts with the metal surfaces of the boiler or feed lines, it forms oxides (rust), which leads to pitting and eventual system failure.
Nalco 93033 works by chemically reacting with dissolved oxygen to form neutral compounds (such as water, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide), effectively "scavenging" the oxygen before it can attack the metal.
