Mastering the Grind: The Ultimate MapleStory v111 Training Guide (1–200)
By: Veteran Grinder
In the pantheon of MapleStory nostalgia, v111 holds a sacred spot. It captures the sweet spot just after the "Big Bang" expedited leveling but before the "Potential Tier-Up" inflation made damage range ridiculous. In v111, you still have to work for your levels, but you can hit the coveted Level 200 (or 140 for end-game gear) in a reasonable timeframe if you know the top maps.
Here is the definitive, min-maxed training guide for v111. No fluff, just raw efficiency. maplestory v111 training guide top
Levels 70–110: The "Road to LHC"
- Top Pick: Pirates (Mu Lung Dojo area) or Galloperas.
- Why: Before Big Bang changes settled, Gallos was legendary. In v111, it was still a solid spot for raw mobbing.
- The "Top" Spot: Knight District 2 (Knight Stronghold / Edelstein).
- Context: This is often overlooked. The robots in the Edelstein mines provided flat maps with dense spawn, perfect for the new Kaiser and Luminous classes.
6. Level 140–165: Stronghold & Twilight Perion
Once you hit 140, move away from LHC (EXP penalty > 20 levels).
The Kings: Lion Heart Castle (LHC)
- Best Maps: Crokey's Nest (Crocks) -> King Pepe Station (Pepe King).
- The Mechanic: In v111, LHC mobs have 200k+ HP. You require a Priest for Heal/Resurrection and Holy Symbol. You also require a "Pull" (Battle Mage or Bishop with Teleport mastery).
- Grinding Method: One player stands in the middle and collects the spawn. Everyone spams AoE. The EXP is split, but the kill rate is 10x faster than solo.
- Target: Stay at Crokes until level 125. Move to Pepes until 135. Then go to Goblin House (LHC) until 140.
Phase 3: The v111 Meta (Level 70 – 120)
Welcome to the meta. This is where 80% of characters live. Mastering the Grind: The Ultimate MapleStory v111 Training
- 70–80: Robos (Ludi: Toy Factory ). Alternatively, Sahel 2 (Ariant) for Scarecrows if you want to avoid bots.
- 80–100: Roids/Noids (Magatia: Lab - Unit 202). Why? They have low HP (15k) but give ~1500 EXP. Mages or high-mobility classes can clear the map in 45 seconds.
- 100–120: Leafre: Nest of Scarecrows (Skelegons). Wait, Skelegons? No. In v111, the best map is actually Blue Wyverns (The Canyon: Crossroad I) or Manon’s Cry (Destroyed Dragon Nest). Controversial pick: Dual Ghost Pirates (Ludi: Ghost Ship 5) - map layout is a vertical line, perfect for tele-casting.
Guild and Events
-
Guild: Joining a guild can provide additional benefits such as guild skills, access to guild-only areas, and a community for cooperation.
-
Events: Keep an eye on in-game events. These often provide unique rewards and experience boosts. Top Pick: Pirates (Mu Lung Dojo area) or Galloperas
