The test showed that after 13.bxa6 Rxa6 14.Bxb5 Ra5 15.Bxd7+ Qxd7, the open a-file and the isolated d5 pawn gave White enough compensation to force a perpetual check or transition into a winning endgame. This line is now called the Gudinna Hybrid.
In the previous version (v081), the gambit scored 42% for White (22 wins, 34 losses, 44 draws) against Stockfish 16. In the v082 test, White scored 51.5% (28 wins, 25 losses, 47 draws). For a gambit that traditionally gives up material, reaching a positive score against Stockfish at depth 40 is almost unheard of.
