2. Plot Synopsis

The narrative follows the Raichand family, a wealthy business dynasty in Delhi.

• The Conflict: Yash Raichand (Amitabh Bachchan) expects his adopted son, Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), to marry Naina (Rani Mukerji) to solidify their status. However, Rahul falls in love with Anjali (Kajol), a bubbly girl from a lower-middle-class background in Chandni Chowk. Bound by his love for Anjali, Rahul marries her, invoking his father’s wrath.
