The "Exclusive" tag on Filmyzilla usually indicates a cam-rip or a low-quality print. But for Green Lantern 2, the tag implies something else: a lost movie.

The Rumor: A low-resolution, unfinished workprint of Green Lantern 2—featuring Sinestro wielding a Yellow Ring and the introduction of John Stewart—was stolen from Warner Bros. post-production servers in 2013 and sold to piracy syndicates.

The Reality: Green Lantern 2 was never shot. Not a single frame of footage exists.

While Warner Bros. hired writers to draft a sequel (tentatively titled Green Lantern 2: The Sinestro Corps War), the film was officially canceled in 2012 after the first film grossed only $219 million against a $200 million budget (plus marketing). You cannot pirate a movie that was never filmed.

Where to Get Your Real Green Lantern Fix

Since Green Lantern 2 isn't coming to Filmyzilla or theaters, here is the good news: The Lantern is rising again. Filmyzilla is a piracy website I've heard about,

• The DCU Reboot: James Gunn has confirmed a Lanterns TV series for HBO Max (now Max) and a Green Lantern film in the new DC Universe. Hal Jordan and John Stewart will be core players.
• The Audio Drama: Graphic Audio produced a stunning full-cast adaptation of Green Lantern: Earth One which is legally available online.
• The Animated Series: Green Lantern: The Animated Series (2011-2013) acts as a better sequel to the movie than anything written. It features the Sinestro Corps War and is available on Netflix/Prime Video legally.
