Vedanayagam corners Sunny’s grandfather at the old press. The old man, a freedom fighter who once printed patriotic pamphlets, is heartbroken. He doesn’t betray Sunny but gives Vedanayagam a clue: "My grandson hates injustice. Maybe you should ask why he’s doing this."
To buy time, Sunny devises a brilliant plan. He prints a batch of fake notes that are deliberately flawed—wrong watermark, mismatched serial numbers. He leaks them to the streets. The market panics. Shopkeepers reject all ₹500 notes, including real ones. The economy stutters. The government is forced to issue a public awareness campaign, giving Sunny and Satya three weeks to launder their real fake notes without suspicion. Vedanayagam realizes he’s not chasing a thief—he’s chasing a genius.
Runtime: 52 minutes
The series opens with a masterclass in tone-setting. We meet Sunny (Shahid Kapoor), who is trying to sell a massive, beautiful painting to a rich businessman. The businessman loves the art but refuses to pay the full price, mocking Sunny’s poor background. Enraged, Sunny destroys his own painting.
Meanwhile, we are introduced to Mansoor Dalal (Kay Kay Menon), a kingpin who prints fake notes using archaic methods. His operation is sloppy, but effective.
Key Plot Points:
Why it works: The episode humanizes a criminal. You root for Sunny even when he crosses the line.

Maybe skip if you dislike:
Verdict: A slick, stylish, and supremely engaging heist-meets-satire that punches above its weight. Think Breaking Bad meets Special 26 with a desi twist.
Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
The actor disappears into the role of Sunny. He isn’t playing a hero. He’s playing a desperate, arrogant, brilliant young man who makes terrible choices. Watch his eyes in Episode 5 after the fire—pure grief.
