Issue: Device Not Recognized (Hardware Issue)

• Power: The ES-9930U draws power from the USB port. If using a USB hub, ensure the hub is powered, or plug the drive directly into the motherboard USB port.
• Legacy Support: Some BIOS settings have "Legacy USB Support" or "Floppy Drive Support" that must be enabled for the drive to function during boot-up (mostly relevant for older motherboards).

2. If Windows does not recognize it (Yellow exclamation mark)

If the printer shows an error in Devices and Printers, you need the Generic/Text Only driver:

1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
2. Click Add a printer > The printer that I want isn't listed.
3. Select Add a local printer.
4. Choose Use an existing port (USB001).
5. In the driver list, select:
   • Manufacturer: Generic
   • Printer: Generic / Text Only
6. Finish the installation. This works for 99% of thermal receipt printers.

Integration with label software

• NiceLabel / Loftware: native integration and tested compatibility.
• BarTender, Crystal Reports, other report generators: function via standard Windows driver interface; use driver settings to map label size and variables.
• Custom apps: treat as standard Windows printer driver; send print jobs through GDI or raw commands depending on app capabilities.

Step 2: Run the Installer

• Navigate to the extracted folder.
• Double-click Setup.exe (or Install.exe).
• Accept the License Agreement.
• Select "Install Printer Driver (USB)" when prompted.
