The D-Link DSL-2750u V2 is an older ADSL2+ modem/router (single-band, 802.11n). As of April 2026, the device is considered End-of-Life (EOL). No new security or feature updates are being released. The “latest” firmware version is several years old (circa 2016–2018 depending on region). Updating is only recommended to fix specific bugs; otherwise, leaving it unchanged is low-risk.

Recommendation: Use this final firmware update as a bridge. Plan to upgrade to a D-Link DSL-2888A (VDSL2) or a TP-Link Archer VR600 within the next 12 months.
Even if the router seems to work, always perform a factory reset after a major firmware upgrade. Old configuration files can cause mysterious issues (slow NAT, Wi-Fi drops). Use the physical reset button for 30 seconds.
