Contra Rogue Corps V130 Incl Dlc Exclusive
Contra: Rogue Corps — v1.30 (including DLC Exclusive) — Report
QA Summary & Test Coverage
- Regression tests: campaign progression, mission unlocks, DLC entitlement checks, basic multiplayer sessions.
- Automated test coverage for weapon stats and enemy scaling; manual playtests for DLC mission and cutscenes.
- Outstanding test items: full achievement unlock flow for offline-to-online transitions; cross-platform DLC ownership edge cases.
The Bad (Still Present in v1.30)
- Repetitive Missions: Every level boils down to: enter room → kill waves → press button → next room. For 10+ hours. Bosses are just bullet sponges with predictable patterns.
- Tone Deaf: The "edgy" characters, cringey voice acting ("Let's get bloody, yeehaw!"), and gore-for-gore's-sake feels like a bargain-bin Gears of War, not Contra.
- Grind: To unlock all skills and weapon slots, you still need to replay missions dozens of times. DLC gives a small XP boost, but not enough.
- Camera: The zoomed-out top-down perspective makes your character tiny. In co-op, it's easy to lose yourself in explosions.
- No Classic Mode: Even with DLC, you cannot play a full campaign as classic Bill/Lance in traditional side-scrolling stages. The Galuga DLC is a tease.
Contra: Rogue Corps – Revisiting the V130 Update with Exclusive DLC
When Contra: Rogue Corps launched in 2019, it faced a mixed reception. Hardcore fans of the classic run-and-gun series were expecting a 2D nostalgia trip but got a chaotic, top-down, third-person shooter instead. Fast forward to today, and the Contra Rogue Corps v130 incl DLC exclusive package represents the definitive way to experience this misunderstood title.
If you dismissed it at launch, the V130 update and its exclusive DLC might just be the reason to give the Mother Alien’s corpse another look. contra rogue corps v130 incl dlc exclusive
