5. Transform Behavior – The "Proportional by Default" Shift

Historically, when scaling a layer, you had to hold Shift to maintain proportions. Starting with CC 2020, Adobe flipped the default: Transform now scales proportionally by default. You now hold Shift to distort non-proportionally. This small change confused veterans but made life easier for newcomers, and version 21.0.1.47 allowed you to revert to legacy behavior in Preferences.
